Low Cost Vaccines
Vaccinations are essential to protect your furry friends from potential life threatening diseases. It is important to keep your pet current on vaccines even if your pet is kept mostly indoors. Many contagious diseases are airborne which makes any pet high at risk when exposed. By taking your pet to dog parks, dog beach, boarding facilities or grooming salons they can be exposed to many harmful diseases and viruses. Vaccinations will reduce the risk of contracting certain diseases and viruses.
By spaying and neutering your pet they can potentially live a longer and healthier life and help reduce the overpopulation of dogs and cats that can’t find homes. Spaying females will reduce the risk of uterine infection known as “Pyometra” and certain cancers. Neutering males will reduce the risk of bladder infections, certain cancers, inappropriate marking and aggressive behavior due to sexual frustration. The recommended age to have your pet spayed/neutered is between 5-6 months old.
Soft Tissue Surgery
We offer advanced surgical techniques and specialty soft tissue procedures. Pre anesthetic lab work is highly recommended before patients undergo surgery to ensure good health. Surgical services include fully trained veterinary and technical staff for the safest and most efficient procedures for your loved one. We provide heated surgery tables as well as advanced sterilization techniques, EKG monitors, oxygen saturation monitors and intensive post-op care. All pets are carefully screened for safety and anesthetics are specifically tailored to your pet.
Orthopedic Surgery
We offer a wide range of orthopedic repair surgery such as cruciate rupture repair, hip dysplasia repair, fracture repair and patellar luxation repair. Every pet is required to be carefully examined and will have all pre-anesthetic diagnostics performed before the day of surgery.
Regular dental care is essential to protecting your pet's teeth so they may have a longer and healthier life. We use an ultrasonic scaler to clean each tooth thoroughly both above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth and lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Fluoride treatments help strengthen enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity.
Digital Radiography
Radiographs or X-rays help our veterinarians evaluate muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular (cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems. We also have a fluoroscopy to aid in the diagnosing of diseases such as collapsing trachea. Our latest addition is a digital radiograph which allows instant results and unsurpassed radiographic quality.
Ultrasound
This non-invasive state-of-the-art technology uses sound waves to painlessly examine specific internal organs, primarily the heart and abdominal organs. Pregnancy exams are also available. Ultrasound applied to the heart is called an “echocardiogram”. An echocardiogram is used to evaluate pets with a suspicion of congenital or acquired heart disease and may be recommended when indicated by the results of an X-ray, when there is a suspicion of heart disease based on physical examination.
